Our ThinLine Trifecta Half Pad with Sheepskin Rolls has a high quality quilted cotton base pad and trimmed with luxurious sheepskin. Creating a contoured wither profile and spine free channel. This design allows the pad to lay on either side of the spine so that it is always in the right place, allowing the horse to work effectively through their back. Delivering the maximum in shock absorbency in the minimum thickness. Add this pad under your well-fitting saddle for maximum comfort for both horse and rider.
ThinLine Trifecta Half Pad with Sheepskin Rolls is designed with pockets to allow for shims to help achieve ideal saddle fit. Useful for riding multiple horses, horses in training and ageing horse. Shims are sold separately.

I was recommended by my coach to buy a Thinline half pad for under my saddle. I bought it a week after I bought my horse, 3 years ago, and I’ve used it ever since. On March 28th 2017, I had a saddle fitter come out to fit a new saddle to my horse. She said because my new saddle fit so well, I now longer needed to use a half pad. I wanted to continue to use my Thinline for the shock absorbing effects as I ride often for long periods of time. I stopped using my Thinline the next day (March 29th), and went about my riding. About a week and a half after, I had terrible back pain. I’ve never had so much back pain before and I couldn’t think of what I had done differently to have this pain. That’s when I clued in that my back had been hurting due to not using my Thinline half pad! I started using it again and my pain has subsided. My original pad I had, was the Ultra Thinline Cotton pad with Sheepskin and I recently bought just the Ultra Thinline pad, as it doesn’t have as much bulk as the cotton pad has. I love all the ThinLine saddle pads! This half pad is a great option for my custom saddles. It doesn’t interfere with the fit of the saddle but still offers the great benefits on the ThinLine pad and it’s durable enough for every day use. Definitely a must have pad.

Absolutely love this pad! I have a Quarter horse and she doesn’t have a hard-to-fit back, but it’s a tabletop. I ride both English and Western, and wanted to get this little half pad to help until I get a new English saddle since the one I currently use is a little narrow on her. I stuck this pad on and it was like the saddle wasn’t too narrow at all!
