What is ThinLine

ThinLine gives riders a closer, quieter connection. The shock absorbing health benefits coupled with fixed soft contact produces better riders and happier horses. Money Back Guarantee.

ThinLine Technology:

Beginning as a liquid, open cells are poured then polarized so each cell lies end-to-end. Another layer is poured then polarized in a new direction. This process is repeated hundreds of times in order to create a honeycomb matrix formation that allows impact and heat to move laterally. The end result is that impact moves ACROSS the ThinLine pad, which produces a completely different ride your horse will love. Riders will also love how the open-cell technology transfers recoil off the horse’s back laterally rather than directly up into the base of the rider’s spine.

The nonslip, breathable shims, also made of this exclusive protection foam, can create a perfect saddle fit.

Integrity and softness allow ThinLine to flex and stretch over high withers, around bones, splints, girths or saddle pressure points without bottoming out (like memory foam, or moving, like gel).

Body temperature warms the ThinLine material allowing it to conform to the horse to support tendons and muscles, and relieve pressure and impact. When returned to room temperature, 75° F, it rebounds to its original shape. The life span of this product is typically 7-9 years.

The ThinLine Ride: Ultra ThinLine or ThinLinePlus+?

ThinLinePlus+ is a thicker option that offers a higher level of protection. It’s best suited for those who do not ride with a whisper seat — trail riding, stock horse riding and fox hunting, would be good examples. First and foremost, ThinLinePlus+ is a necessity for horses with sore backs and those exposed to frequent and sudden impacts. It’s also a great choice for beginner riders and young horses in training.

Ultra ThinLine is a thinner option designed to protect horse and rider backs by eliciting a soft, quiet, elastic connection. If your riding is not in a place where you can focus on nuances a ThinLine pad is a must. Moreover, if you are an effective rider you will greatly appreciate Ultra ThinLine because it reduces the extraneous ‘background noise’ of your movement, which allows your horse to balance and focus better, and makes your seat aides clearer and more effective.

Ultra ThinLine can drastically improve the health of a rider’s spine, which is compromised over time. Those who choose Ultra ThinLine are daily riders that are spending many hours in the saddle and need a shock absorber to stay healthy. Horse backs also benefit greatly from quieter riders.

Ultra ThinLine is typically sewn onto pads, but it is also sold on its own as a basic pad (just the foam). ThinLinePlus+ (available in black only) may be purchased as a basic pad as well, or you may add ThinLinePlus+ full shims to any shimmable pad. This gives you the flexibility to switch back and forth between an Ultra ThinLine or a ThinLinePlus+ ride.
